When is clinic held?Elaaj Clinic is currently held in the evening of the last Saturday of every month. However, Elaaj Clinic seeks to serve as many patients as possible, and has the capability to be held twice a month, based on patient needs.

Is clinic still held during holidays?Yes, clinic is always held on the last Saturday of each month, even if the day is a holiday.

Do you need insurance in order to go to the clinic?Elaaj Clinic is dedicated to serving all patients, regardless of their insurance status. Health insurance is not required.

Do we need to book appointments in advance or are walk-ins welcome?There is no need to book appointments in advance. Walk-ins are welcome.

Can I get a prescription from the pharamcist?As of now, the pharmacists at Elaaj Clinic have limited capability to fill prescriptions, but can do so in certain cases, However, they can review and evaluate medications that have already been prescribed to you, perform drug reconciliation, and answer any questions you may have about the medications.

Do you take new patients?Elaaj Clinic accepts all patients, and new patients are always welcome at clinic. New patients will be registered during clinic.

I am a professional student or health professional. How can I contribute to this effort?Elaaj Clinic is always searching for dedicated health professional volunteers who can assist in fulfilling its mission. I am an undergraduate student. How do I become a volunteer?Undergraduate students must be members of the UC Davis chapter of Bhagat Puran Singh Health Initiative (BPSHI). Elaaj Clinic is not accepting other undergraduate volunteers at this time.

I do not speak Punjabi. Do I have to bring a Punjabi-speaking interpreter to clinic?Elaaj Clinic serves patients from many diverse backgrounds who speak many different languages. All Elaaj Clinic volunteers are fluent in English and most are also fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, and Spanish.
